Hi!

My name is Harry and that's my wife Rorie in the picture with me. That photo was actually taken at the spot where we got married in the far reaches of rural Norfolk (you might be able to tell from the very distinct lack of hills). Norfolk is where we both grew up in fact, having met each other at school. We now live just outside Cambridge in the seemingly even flatter Cambridgeshire.

In between residing in two of East Anglia's finest counties, birthplace of Lord Admiral Horatio Nelson and Olivia Newton John respectively, we both studied at university.  I moved to Birmingham to study my masters in Physics (and eventually my PhD also) whilst Rorie studied Linguistics and Phonetics at the University of Leeds (opposites attract, right?).

I always enjoyed learning about Physics and part of me has always believed a big part of why I chose to study it at university was that I just wanted to pick the hardest subject I could. I enjoyed it so much in fact that I decided to dedicate 8 years of my life to it. I started my PhD in 2015 where I worked under the fantastic mentorship of Prof. Peter Jones and Leticia Cunqueiro.
